Ha just looked Aaron!!
Those are funny!!! 35" in tire class then 44".
35" no vacuum, gutted ?? They had some truck in mind when they made thise rules!!!LOL
Well be picked a good stretch of years to not race!!!
But yo uhave to like it cause I think you fit in just about perfect.
There is not many of theose trucks that travel anyway but they will stop some of the other trucks from traveling there. they may pick up a few of Gussies trucks though.
Should be interesting. Unless I missed something the 38 tire class is the most popular bog class in the country and they don't have one anymore??
Ouch.
Prediction: those rules will last one year.
Just my pennies!!
Thanks for posting,
Jeffro

Jeff, I'm pretty sure your Prediction will be right since they have changed they rules every year.
Just think they had two 38.5 bogger classes a couple years ago.

Ya it took a lot of emails and phone calls to get them to change the rules for me!!! LOL It looks the same except they took out the vacuum rule they had in there and added the interior gutting. Pretty much gussies 35 tire class I would guess. I ran one class up from that last time I was there, and ran louie's 38's. That was back when I had a really bad steering issue as well as some motor issues and finished .10 off the winner. So should be a good class to run for me. It should give me some incentive to get up there and run. Pretty long drive for me. I know those guys that run the s-10's up there are pretty fast. I don't know their name, but you know who I am talking about. There was a few times some of the miles guys ventured down to gussies last year as well. Put on a good show and walked away with some cash. In all reality, my junk was built for one track. Most any other places I go I am a bottom feeder. So I expect that. I understand gussies rules aren't comparable to, well much of anything. A uniform set of rules would be AWESOME......, and send me back to the shop to build, fix and tweek. Understanding that unification will more than likely never happen. The one problem that is going to hurt me is the fact that most places I would possibly run when you get to the no vacuum classes the heads that are allowed are way better than what I have. So I would have to stay close to the local rules, and just chase at the rest of the tracks. Sienfeld quote here "not that there is anything wrong with that." I have put aluminum headed motors on the trailer before, and could maybe pull a few more out of my ass. I don't get upset over rules. I get upset when my truck runs like shit. Guess who the mechanic is? ya So I fire and hire myself on a regular basis. I will say I have learned a lot these last two years. All from good friends and fellow mud racers. Met a lot of amazing people. Thanks. I wish you all the best this upcoming year, after all this is the Happy New Year thread. Which I tend to wonder how every thread non-racing related turns into a discussion about mud racing on a mud racing forum......weird. Still no explanation on the "the Bomb" sabbatical. I am wondering what is up your sleeve, or maybe it is stuck up both of them? Lions and tigers and big ass ford motor oh my. LOL Anyway. Best wishes to you all. See you soon. later jenks

Jenks you'll do good this year!!!
As far as heads go with or without vacuum you should really be on the top of the food chain if you can afford it. Everyone always looks at FORDS intake side and they do a good job there. But if they all have major problems on the exhaust side and if you cant get it out of the cylinder then your next intake flow number will be nothing like the flow bench because that cylinder is full of exhaust. That's what ford's do..
Looks like you'll some tracks to run at!
We're done for several years, don't have to worry about us. The BOMB (Like I said) is officially out to pasture, with no chance of returning in the immediate years.
Good Luck Jenks!!!

looks to me like they are trying to combine the old 4&500 classes into the new 500 class, does that mean hard times and fischers will be in the new 500,cause 600 class allows alumn heads ,or will they have to run in 600,could be wrong but thought justin (hard times) told me they had aftermarket cast iron heads?

Happy new year Rich!! If I was going to race I'd sure have a set of 35" tires.
I'm starting a new business whith these tire rules changing every year.
The tire lease or rental business. 50.00 lease a day for a set of four. You'd have your tires paid for in a season if you followed the races!LOL . Just have a set of wide five rims. With an 8 bolt adapter, ford 5 bolt chevy five bolt and a six bolt adapter. You could have a set of 35's and a set of 44"s and you'd be in there!!!
Making money and renting tires!!
Good luck Rich!!
