Glad it worked out RJ!! I kinda shook my head when I watched you break too!LOL
I hid my broken truck from my wife for about -.00001 seconds she was filming!! LOL
Deb really doesn't care as long as I don't get hurt, sitting in a seat isn't too stressful so we have bright summer ahead!!
See ya later,

Sorry to hear of breakage.... But it is a FORD . Looks like the local crowd was impressed with you two. Rough for sure. What did you end up breaking? The rig looked sweet with some big rubber under there. Later if you decide to Chris m has a pattern to mount up 1/2 ton brakes to the 60. Just have to change the holes for the 5 lug spindle on the ferd. Sorry I couldn't make it. Finishing up a few things and found some issues that need tending to before she gets rolling again I Should be able to make gussies first show without a problem. Frankly getting disgusted before the season starts for me. Only having a few days a week to hit it makes things tough. I thought it was going to be easy to get ready for season, I was wrong and won't wait so late next time. Later jenks

Thanks Rich, she'll be back together this week!! Chris M. & RJ came to the rescue for me. Thanks guys!!
Well Aaron. we broke a shock off. then apparently next pass we twisted the rear end enough to break both leaf springs off at the shackles. Which caused a bind on the 1350 yoke in turn causing the rear yoke to break faster than a Nazi pinata at at Jewish birthday party!
Then it transferred the torque to the front causing the same carnage to the front yoke!
Big thanks to RJ for pulling us on the trailer else we'd still be sitting there!!
We'll be back rocking and rolling by next weekend!!

We were running pretty good. If Pit Boss would have made it, you'd have seen a good running chevy too.
JF when will you be running?

ahhhh salt in the wound!!!. dammit that burns. lol
Jeff, I was referring to the front, I seen where you ground some calipers, but after some more reading you said wide five's so I guess you were speaking of the rear. My mistake.
Ya that sounds like some carnage, but at least you can get it back together quickly. It's always like a death in the family when a buddy breaks.
So....... where is the next run?

No problem Aaron, I was being lazy on some rear end improvements the Bomb needed. Now i have to change them!
Our fronts are dual piston calipers. We ground those down enough to fit 15" steel wheels on them. These aluminum wide fives have a 5 inch offset and the thicker aluminum combined with maybe and inch more backspace caused us not be able to use those wide 5's on the front. Those calipers can not be ground down anymore they look like skelatons as it is! I'm just going to pick up some used wide 5's with 3" backspaces.
We're going to gussies next I believe.
Get your truck ready!!

Jeff got the front end apart today. Broken axle shaft, broken lower ball joint, bent the steering knuckle and cut the sidewall on one of the boggers. It wasn't that bad till I saw the cut in the tire.
