Well after a day of cussing, throwing things and finally having a few beers. I am finally ready. I had a demon from last year that I let go thinking it was minor. Well it reared its ugly head again today so I decided to trouble shoot it out. I am happy with the motor now. She is finally singing the right tune.
So any one going. Dex you gonna make it? Happy B-day by the way. I am celebrating tonight as mine is tomorrow.
Sounds like all of the quad city crew will be in attendance.

Jenks,
Who's the qUAD CITY CREW? Do tell about your motor issues that you found. Electrical? How did you find it?

Well, remember the race that you went to at the peat. And it was popping and banging the first run and seemed to settle out the second. It was not a heat issue like we thought.
The motor had plenty of power in 1st gear. Thats easy of course, but second and third seemed it would really lug the motor, and did not want to get up in the rpm's so I would short shift it. I let it go thinking that the motor was putting out all it could.
Yesterday I decided to beat the shit out of it. I put it in 2 wheel and took it out on the road. Same thing. First gear off the rev limiter, 7700. second gear at 5,000 fell on its face and backfired through the exhaust. So after checking and changing things all day. I found that I had made a simple mistake.
I failed to notice that when I had put my distributor cap on, I had put it on wrong. It was slightly cocked. I pulled it, cleaned it and wha la. Needless to say there is a nice coat of rubber on the road for a good half mile.
So we shall see what happens now. Hopefully she has a little more go.

Jenks,
Wow that's great!! You have to feel a lot better finding that out. Sometimes it the little things that cause us the most problems!!
Yes I've spoken to Chris several times they are in "crunch mode" trying to get all the trucks done! Most of them look like they are going to be faster this year. They've all been making upgrades!
