That sucks you had to deal with that Jeff, but the good thing about the internet is that no one else will have to deal with that without knowing what they are going into. Nice place for the throphy but i bet you could have found a better place to cram it

Yeah they treated us dirtier than the mud that was in their pit won't bother me not going back there. The trophy in the pit was a nice touch that was great.

Without knowing any details. Which I do wish that you indulge us. If not, I understand. I agree the vid is great. I had to ad lib to to the video. Guy in the big truck " nice job" jeff--- whatever. Next group of guys--" nice trophy".... Jeff " you want it.. here".....
Being a racer as well as a promoter, not trucks, I always hated or hate the fact that the guys putting on the show are charged for admission. As a promotor drivers get in free, any pit crew pays admission. It is like penalizing us for showing up to help them make money. I understand that if there is no money made there is no show next year, but to charge what I am guessing $30 dollars in admission is a tad high. Ten bucks max for a driver. As well as a 60 dollar payout. Doesn't even cover the cost of getting in.
I am sorry it sucked jeff. I really wanted to go to that show as I have some old friends down in pickneyville I would of like to met up with. I am glad that another show happened to fall on the same day now.
Next time break it over your knee for added dramatization.

Thanks Jenks!! Overall it was still a good group of guys to talk top and to race with. Just the track was intentionally changed from what it was promised after they saw us there. They saw how we ran through the pit. Had skinny tires and then got out the bulldozer and pushed the pit back in fully closed and deep. What they said they were not going to do on the phone.
Then when asked about it, the club president said it wasn't him, it was the fair board or the track guy. I went to the track guy and he said he made the pit just like he said(which he did) and he planned on us running that all night. He said it wasn't him. He said it wasn't the fair board either. But I did speak to someone that was from the board and they said it wasn't them. They siad it was the club. So I went back to the president and he said it wan't them but couldn't look me in the eye when saying that.
So we had speed tires that we brought because of what they said they were going to have. When they changed the track we needed our bog tires that were 4 hours away. And to top it off they averaged your two runs. So the club members that drew last (coincidence) got to run in a deep pit twice that already had a path through it from the 20 trucks ahead of him. So they did very well. As they early numbers (us) would have been stuck at least our first pass. Then been D.Q.'ed because you needed two full runs to place. like the guys at the end of the field would have. There was one little legit S10 from Tennessee that ran very hard. Short of that it was a hometown take care of the local boys scew the out of towner event. There was much more going on. Too much to list. But I never called anyone a name, never raised my voice, just asked some real questions that no one could answer.
Jenks our truck had four people in it that's what I quoted for admission. 20.00 each for the ladies, 10 each for the drivers and RJ didn't even race. I don't blame him he was first out in a 3 foot deep pit to get stuck and spend 3 hours washing. He did not have a snow balls chance. The first ten trucks didn't because they averaged both your runs. Crazy. the guys at the end of the field were guaranteed to place!!
Glad you didn't go!!!
See ya,
Jeffro

Same as last year just centered, instead of off to the right. Looks like a pulling track right now. Tractor with ripper shanks this weekend and water late next week, depending on mother nature.
