and kenneth i dunno if you are a die hard sunoco guy but check on rocket brand their 111 was under 400 for a barrel but with everything going on over seas it maybe ski high too Well last year we paid alittle over 400 a barrel, but that was last year. A local race truck has VP Racing fuel down here but they only wanna sell 5 gallons at a time, not a barrel. Which sucks, but we know a guy that buys sunoco by the barrels so that was the path we was going. We just havent bought any yet this year. Had some from last year.

Some people down here get all pissed off if people start making there own parts, so i figured they needed alittle more to piss them off. haha

just a heads up to the guy that built our motor did a lot of research before he bought fuel and 112 is only good for 12.5:1 I know of a motor thats over 13:1 compression and it runs great off of 110 Sunoco. So i dont know.

I have studied this as well. I have found there is no right or wrong answer when it comes to the borderline stuff. I have heard of guys running 93 with 10.5 on a bb. I have had other guys say that they ping the shit out of a motor on 93 with 10.5 on a bb.
The truth of the matter is this. Every motor is different. Even being built with the same parts, no two are alike. Myself I could honestly not tell with my motor unless I put some mufflers on it so I could hear. I agree with this. It is better to be on the safe side. Lets face it. We are budget racers for the most part. We don't have big corporate sponsors to back us up. So a few more dollars at the pump is well worth it in my eyes.
On the same note. Keep your fuel stored in a barrel. Sealed tightly. It will last a long time. Even gas left in you tank over winter will cause it to be substandard.

a lot of it also has to do with your quench,i run 10.5.1 on iron heads and a zero decked block, quench is at around .040, and a big radiater to keep it cool.,and a recurved dizzy.its all about the attention to detail,no matter what engine.

Yes there are sure alot of variables to the equation. I'm really not sure where I fall But I can't spend 600.00 a barrel ! Sure wish there was a test so we could find out what we needed!! Kenneth that's a very good price!! Ours here just jumped to 511.00 a barrel Jeffro!!

Well since we got a price so cheap on the 110, we asked about 112 and they said it was about double of what the 110 runs. OUCH

That's a good price!Where do you go Dex? Cause I've been going down by you for a couple of years. Yoder oil usually beats everyone's prices. We got our 112 for less than 4.

It depends on if he orders it or not. Last year he didn't so I had to go elsewhere and pay out the nose. He usually doesn't stock it. If he gets an bunch of guys that need some then he will order it. If you get lucky he may have a barrel laying around.
